Group IV/V Head Teacher
Myrna is the lead teacher in group IV/V, our oldest preschoolers and Kindergarten class . She has been teaching at SMCNS for over 38 years.. She is an expert in 5 year olds and contributes to the development of her students, their families, and our incredible school.
Thais is an integral part of our daily operations. She wears many hats and is always available to help. She has 2 children who attended SMCNS, she served as a parent teacher and as our board president.
Group II & Multi-Age 2s & 3s Head Teacher
Leanne has been teaching at SMCNS for over 25 years. She began her professional experience in Group 4/5 and worked with Myrna for over 2 decades. She then moved into a lead teacher role in Group 1 and eventually landed in Group 2 & Muti-Age. Leanne's vast experience with so many age groups makes her uniquely qualified to lead the Multi-Age group. Her patience and devotion are evident in her thoughtful approach to child growth and development.
Group III Head Teacher
Ellen, like many of our staff members, began as a parent. She was an incredible asset to our school as a volunteer because she embraced the challenge of learning the nuances of each of the groups she worked in. She also served on the board of directors and was a 2 day a week parent teacher in group IV/V, which gives her great insight into what her students need to master before they move on to the next level.
Group I Head Teacher
Colleen is the perfect ambassador for SMCNS. She is the first person most students and parents encounter which is amazing because she has unsurpassed patience, kindness, and wisdom. She is an expert on the growth and development of 2 year olds.
Group I Head Teacher
Sarah's time at SMCNS began in 2015 as a parent, She has been a part of all 5 groups at the nursery school serving as both a parent teacher and helper while her two children attended. Sarah was hired as a teacher on staff at SMCNS in the fall of 2019. Sarah loves the collaborative spirit of teachers, parents, and staff at SMCNS, working together to provide a nurturing and playful place for children to grow. Sarah is currently serving as the lead teacher in Group 1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
